Is Success One Size Fits All?

When people think about success, a common image comes to mind: the early riser who jumps out of bed at 5 a.m., crushes a morning workout, journals, meditates, and then tackles their meticulously planned day. Many of my clients come to me feeling stuck, convinced they can’t reach their full potential because they can’t seem to force themselves into this mold.

But let me ask you this—does success really have to look like that?

A few years ago, I had my own lightbulb moment after reading Gretchen Rubin’s book "Better Than Before" - Rubin explores how our habits are shaped by our personalities, tendencies, and motivations, and it completely changed the way I approached success—not just for myself but also for my clients.

The truth about success is this: it’s deeply personal. There’s no universal formula. What works for someone else might feel like pure misery to you. It’s about finding your sweet spot—the rhythms, environments, and motivations that make you come alive and help you perform at your best.

Some of us thrive on structure and love a color-coded calendar. Others are fueled by flexibility, creativity, and the ability to follow their intuition in the moment. Morning routines might energize one person and completely drain another. That doesn’t mean one person is destined for success and the other isn’t—it just means they need different plans.

When I work with clients, one of my favorite things to do is help them design their own success blueprint. Together, we identify what makes them tick, what motivates them, and what systems align with their authentic selves. It’s not about forcing someone into a pre-made box—it’s about creating a strategy that feels good and works for them.

So, if you’re struggling to fit into someone else’s version of success, I challenge you to pause and ask yourself: "What does success look like for me?" Maybe it’s waking up at 5 a.m. Or maybe it’s finding your focus at 10 p.m. while the world is quiet.

Whatever your answer, know this: success isn’t one-size-fits-all. It’s customizable. It’s flexible. And it’s yours to define.

Ready to find your sweet spot? Let’s design a success plan that fits the real you. Because life’s too short to try to be someone else.
